Philip has been a long serving member of the container industry since 1979, holding various senior management positions with Shipping Lines and more recently industry suppliers such as Daikin and Chugoku. Supporting industry innovation and technical improvements that help reduce impact on the environment and protect the natural world.  Founded Containing Shipping Supporting Seafarers, that helped raise the awareness of issues facing Seafarers especially during Covid. Holding a number of voluntary positions in horticultural organisations in the UK, has provided a real focus on the potential impact, both economically and on the natural environment, that could result from the spread of pests and diseases via the container shipping pathway.
