Pierre de Bellabre
Pierre de Bellabre is a graduate of Sciences Po Rennes and holds a Master's degree in Transport & Mobility from a joint program offered by the École des Ponts ParisTech and the École d'Urbanisme de Paris (Paris School of Urban Planning). He joined HAROPA PORT in April 2024 as Multimodality Project Director.
Pierre began his career at Réseau Ferré de France (RFF), the former French rail infrastructure manager, in 2011. In his role, he was responsible for conducting market studies, socio-economic analyses, and developing traffic forecasting models for freight transportation.
Subsequently, Pierre transitioned to strategy consulting firms, where he provided support to various actors in the transport sector, including:
- Port authorities: Focusing primarily on multimodal objectives and challenges. He has assisted numerous ports, notably HAROPA PORT, in strengthening rail connections with their hinterland.
- Infrastructure managers and transport operators: Helping them formulate development strategies, investment plans, reorganization projects, and pricing strategies.
- Transport authorities & local governments: Assisting in negotiations of contracts with transport operators.
Pierre de Bellabre’s professional experience extends to engineering services, where he has collaborated with major industrial firms in the rail sector. He has supported engineering and R&D programs, with a particular emphasis on rail signaling systems.
As of April 2024, Pierre de Bellabre has assumed the position of Multimodal Project Director at HAROPA PORT. As such, he is charged with defining HAROPA PORT’s multimodal strategy and overseeing its implementation. This covers rail, river and road issues but also the facilitation of goods throughput across the whole of HAROPA PORT terminals.
Pierre reports both to HAROPA PORT’s CEO & to Antoine Berbain, the Deputy CEO who heads the Paris regional office and oversees multimodality strategy.
