Yilmaz Uygun is Professor of Logistics Engineering at Jacobs University Bremen and Research Affiliate at MIT. His current research focuses on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in adopting Industry 4.0 related technologies. Before that he worked as Research Associate and later Executive Director at TU Dortmund and Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics. He also completed his PhD there before joining the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as Research Fellow. Yilmaz studied Industrial Engineering at FH S'dwestfalen (BA) and Logistics Engineering as well as Logistics Management at University of Duisburg-Essen (MA).
